Tolland Little League will participate in the Tolland Memorial Day parade on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Parade will kick off at 1pm. Players are requested to gather around 12 Noon at the parking lot off Route 74 next to the Preschool of the Arts. Junior Legion
Tolland Junior Legion tryouts will be held on Tuesday, May 28th and Wednesday, May 29th from 5:30 – 7:30pm @ Cross Farms complex. Players should meet on Field B. Junior Legion is open to any player whose birth date is between 1/1/1996 and 12/31/2000. For players that will be participating in the CIAC High School baseball tournament and who cannot attend the Junior Legion Tryout date(s), you should attend the Senior Legion tryout/evaluation (see below). Legion team selection will be communicated once Senior Legion tryouts have completed. Any questions, please contact Steve Paasch at (860)729-8305.

Senior Legion
Tolland Senior Legion tryouts will be held on Saturday, June 1st from 5:30 – 8:00pm @ Cross Farms complex. Players should meet on Field B. Senior Legion will be open to any player whose birth date is between 1/1/1994 – 12/31/1998 and played High School Varsity or Collegiate baseball. Cost and Dates
The fee is $250 If selected for either the Junior or Senior Legion team, with payment required before the 1st game.

Junior Legion first game is scheduled on Tuesday, June 4th, with a total of 24 games scheduled plus playoffs.

A Notice to All High School Baseball Players regarding Juniors and Junior Legion

In order to maintain parity to the teams and players in the juniors league and to promote the
advancement of the junior legion program, the following decisions have been made regarding 14
and 15 year old baseball players who have played for their high school teams.

•

There will not be a supplemental draft for players 15 years of age for Juniors, although
these players have opportunity to try out for Junior Legion. Please note, if you turn 15
after May 1st are considered 14 according to Little League International

•

14 year old players can sign up for Juniors the week before the school season ends but
also have the opportunity, if they would rather, to try out for the junior legion team. The
player cannot play for both teams.

•

If you are interested in playing Juniors League baseball you will need to sign up prior to
May 18th.

•

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no exceptions for late requests due to the minimum
required number of games to qualify for tournament play.

•

Players will be assigned a team based on a draft. There will be no considerations for
specific requests for team preference.

Reminder!

Tomorrow is Tolland Little Leagues official opening day ceremony. The event starts at 10:30am at THS on the football field. Players should arrive in full uniform by 10am. No cleats please.
